Farum Midtpunkt au Danemark - 1970-1975 - Ensemble semi-collectif des années 1974. Farum est connue pour le projet Farum Midtpunkt qui tente de créer une nouvelle façon de vivre en communauté. Le projet inclut une combination d'espaces individuels et communautaires, une architecture plus ouverte, des espaces pour enfants et des parcs, et la participation des habitants dans l'administration du quartier. Le projet fut fortement critiqué pour ses problèmes sociaux et migratoires. Farum se trouve au nord de l'île de Sjælland à l'aboutissement d'une ligne de métro qui la relie à Copenhague en 32 minutes.

Des maisons alimentées par une pile à combustible au Danemark - H2pia - World's first hydrogen powered community - First Danish Hydrogen Energy Plant Is Operational - Denmark's first full-scale hydrogen-energy plant and testing facility, the Lolland Hydrogen Community opened May 2007. It is also the EU's first full-scale Hydrogen Community Demonstration facility for residential Fuel Cell Combined Heat and Power (CHP). Within the next couple of years the project will install residential micro CHP units in 35 homes in the village of Vestenskov making it the first hydrogen-powered community in Europe. The suburb dubbed H2pia is geared towards balancing energy needs with the cost to the environment and our climate. Residents of this hydrogen community will collect their own energy via solar and wind sources, which will charge hydrogen fuel cells that power both the home and automobiles. The various structures within the neighborhood have been designed so that their curves and orientation can maximize returns on energy collection.
